PBallConnect (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by [OWNER NAME / LLC NAME]. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the PBallConnect app and related services.

By registering or using PBallConnect, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you register or use the app:

• Account information: Name, email address, zip code, and general location (city and state derived from your zip code).
• Player profile: Skill level, playing style, availability, age range, gender, playing hand, and playing history.
• Phone number: Optional. Collected only if you choose to provide it. Used solely for SMS notifications if you opt in.
• In-app activity: Match responses, Inner Circle connections, group memberships, and other in-app interactions.

We do not collect payment information, precise GPS location, or sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the PBallConnect service
• Connect you with other players and facilitate match coordination
• Send transactional emails such as match invites, confirmations, and waitlist notifications
• Send SMS notifications if you have opted in (see Section 4)
• Improve the service, diagnose technical issues, and fix bugs
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

4. SMS / Text Message Communications

SMS notifications may include match invites, waitlist alerts, time-sensitive match updates, and reminders. Your phone number is stored securely and is never visible to other players.

We share your phone number with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have requested. Twilio does not use your number for any other purpose.

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us or by updating your preferences in the app. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages unless you opt back in.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With other PBallConnect users: Your player profile (name, skill level, location, availability) is visible to players in your Inner Circle. Your phone number and SMS opt-in status are never shared with other users.
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database hosting), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Cloudflare (hosting and security). Each provider processes your data only as necessary to deliver their service to us, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PBallConnect, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a materially different privacy policy.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL platform with enterprise-grade encryption and access controls. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure your data is accessible only to authorized users and server-side functions.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique email address for your account.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and update: You may view and update your profile at any time through the app.
• Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text message or update your preferences in the app.
• Request deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at david@pballconnect.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Data portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the email above.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

PBallConnect uses browser localStorage to remember your session and app preferences (such as your email address for seamless login). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking technologies.

Cloudflare may set security and performance cookies as part of their infrastructure and DDoS protection services. These are strictly functional and are not used for advertising.

9. Children’s Privacy

PBallConnect is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at david@pballconnect.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We may also notify you via email or in-app notification for material changes. Continued use of PBallConnect after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
